Story: Microsoft faces lawsuit over Vista branding
Microsoft faces lawsuit over Vista branding
The intent was an obvious deception to sell more product. It would be a small price to list the capabilities of the machine on the VISTA label. I have been in retail outlets and all the machines say are" VISTA ready". I ran their checking tool on my old, AMD Athlon XP2000, and it said it was okay, but it wouldn't run the ultimate version. Yet, I have the latest MandrivaLinux version, which does a lot more 3D than VISTA, and didn't have to buy more memory or upgrade any hardware.
