Windows Vista is the standard consumer operating system.

From what I hear locally, most companies do not plan on upgrading due to the cost of new hardware and lack of support with current programs and drivers. Too many compatibility issues, expense of new programs, cost of training, etc. The TCO makes a considerable
jump that many aren't willing to take. Need to check M$'s figures, after all they are the FUD masters.
