Surface computing looks good

Personally, the biggest change I see here is the HCI (human computer interface).

While I'm sure you can still have access to a keyboard, the fact that you can do so much without one will probably be the biggest news. There are many internet kiosks around that provide limited functionality without a keyboard, such as topping up your account, but this is more like a fully featured device.

If the new HCI can be made to offer the functionality in a commercial sense, then it will work very very well.

I'd like to see the restaurant idea employ robotic wait staff, and possibly even a robotic kitchen. Imagine, all you'd need then is just a door person, and you'd have a fully automated facility. And thats just one idea of many that I'm sure are outthere.

Well done to Microsoft for bringing this out, though I'm a little surprised its taken so long, and I'm wondering why other companies havent attempted this to this extent.
