Surface computing?

I fail to see the practicality of this device. Touch screens have a tendency to become blurred with oil from the fingers after a few hours of use. What if someone drools on it, or spills a cup of coffee?
It will help the chiropractic industry, but on the other hand poor employees are walking around bent over. Are we going to regress to walking on all fours, with our tails swinging in the air?
