Story: Watchdog condemns broadband-speed claims
we have all been there!
get this package it fast, you get it for 12 months then speed test it and you get half if lucky the speed they said.
can you get out of the contract no!. (unless you breach the F.U.P.)
they also give you there software to install that tells you the speed you are running at, this more often than not tells you its faster than what it is, and before you say its the ethernet speed or usb speed i am not talking about that information i am talking about the information on download speed some ISp's give you with there software installed on you pc.
it is made clear in the small print that you may not get the speed stated, so why if you don't get it do they still insist on you paying the full price.
you should also be allowed to get out of the contract if they don't meet the speed.
the easy way to end the contract is to download as much as you can so they tell you to move off and they end the contract for you under the F.U.P.
