I think this is a classic case of person A arguing that "coal is not yellow" and person B arguing that "coal is not orange"!

Both ACS and Wyse are completely right to point out the obvious weaknesses in traditional thick desktop deployments (and there are many more not mentioned here)

3i Group, I suspect, are simply pointing out that a consequence will be an increase in data centre space, power and cooling requirements. At a time when companies are struggling with all 3 this is spot-on ... however, these are aspects which should be looked at in any case (via other routes such consolidation/virtualisation/etc). I'm sure they are not suggesting a thin client route will do anything other than decrease the overall power demand across the organisation.
