Benefits of working in the Public Sector?

Oh well, a few years in the public sector should teach them the values of:
- how having to zero your budget every financial year makes for good financial management - NOT
- how having a change of boss through election (public, internal, or other political shenanigan) at regular intervals will help keep the aims of the project constant - NOT
- how to keep an eye on cost v. real benefit (as opposed to political benefit) - NOT
- ..... anyone care to add any more benefits to their potential career of working in the public sector?
