What, no back up!

Anybody who installs something as major as an OS upgrade without fist doing a back up of all important files shouldn't be surprised if they lose everything.
They shouldn't lose everything, but this is not a perfect world and all sorts of things can go wrong.
How many times must people be told to back up BEFORE doing anything major on their computer.
