I can't believe this story...

I was in Nashville last year when Negroponte used his keynote speech at the Red Hat conference to lay into Microsoft and Intel in front of the open source crowd - with comments like "If I am annoying Bill Gates then I must be doing something right" and basically claiming what a bloated piece of crap XP was. Either Microsoft has made Negroponte an offer he can't refuse or the speech in Nashville was just another case of telling people what they want to hear. Very dissapointing.

So if you upgrade to XP SP3 you can't uninstall Internet Explorer, I'm quite sure I'm having a Deja-vu feeling about MS preventing people from uninstalling Internet Explorer in other Windows products.
