Story: Popular Apple rumour website to shut down

iMac launch gaff

This reminds me of the time when Apple relaunched the iMac (in its anglepoise lamp form) and some Canadian magazine (I think it was Time Magazine) ruined the party. They had an early print run that went out a day before the keynote launch which had a feature with various pictures of Steve Jobs and 'the lamp'. This spoiled the much vaunted new iMac launch; especially for those who called the article a fake.

I wonder how the damage caused by leaking details of the lowly Mac Mini compares to the iMac gaff?
