Story: Apple files for DRM system akin to Microsoft
People will find that ironic
Considering that Steve Jobs was so vocal in campaigning against DRM, there's some irony that Apple believes in keeping music and other digital content open, whilst making moves to safeguard its own software.
It could also turn out to be a waste of money; I don't beleive there are many Mac users interested in buying fake operating systems; Macs come pre-installed with the latest OS' and upgrades are very cheap. If you can afford a Mac at £2000+, how can you not afford £100 for Mac OS X?
