Who wants a choice anyway.

The majority of people in this world have little or no choice when it comes to buying products. This said it would be almost impossible to be otherwise.
When you buy a car it would be very unusual to choose the type of alternator, light bulbs or even the screws, but as long as it all works together everone is happy.
This is the same with a computer, in most instances you are offered a flavour of Operating systems albeit mainly Windows, and like the car, as long as it all works most people are happy.
IE is a small part of Windows, so is Wordpad/Notepad, Media Player and Movie Maker, Disk defragmentor and Windows Explorer. All have competitors products which can be used without regard to microsoft, and It is not really Microsofts responsibility to alter it's products to suite the development by competitors of those alternative, after all can you imagine, say, Ford changing the design of all it's models so that a roof rack maker's product will fit, no matter how good it is ?.
If Opera thinks itself to be such a great product, go out and do what every other business in the world has to do, make a superior product, convince the buyer of its qualities and keep ahead of the pack. Not winge to big brother shouting foul.
There are a lot of players in the browser market and who is to say one is better than the other, the expression is I beleive "different strokes for different folks".
What should happen ?, should Microsoft supply a disk with every browser available including IE and pop it into each copy of windows ? or maybe the browser manufacturers would like to sell all the Operating Systems available customised with their browser ? or as a real solution supply every computer with Assembler and nothing else and see how popular that would be, so everyone can add all the add-ins they want. don't expect many sales.
As for the EU handling anything like this is laughable, one of the biggest protectionist unaccountable organisations in the world playing big brother when it should be getting it own organisation in order.
