Its all about Speed !

As with everything humans want things to be faster whether itd sports cars or the Microwave why cook a potato in 30 Mins when you can cook it in 4.

The smaller the chip the less distance the information has to travel, as a direct result we see any increase in the speed at which data and processes can be handled. I think this line shows the potential.

"Potentially, DNA could address, or recognise, features as small as 2nm (nanometres). Cutting-edge chips today have features that average 45nm, or 45 billionths of a metre".

I suppose it could also open up other doors currently hardware can handle one proccess at a time, all be it unbeleivably quick and well managed for example Multi Core Proccessors. Perhaps this could redifine this proccess who knows.(Maybe thats optomistic)

Although it is Science Fiction coming to life. Run for the Hills!!!
