Office Open XML is the default format of MS Office 2007

This is easily verifiable.
Make a new file in MS Office 2007
Put in it everything you like and save in the default format
Check the xml files in the OOXML package file (.docx, .xlsx or pptx) and verify them against the official Ecma open standard.
