here in the UK

Home users in the UK may be slow to convert as we are in an expensive time at the moment. Our TV is being switched to digital soon and this means purchasing a lot of new equipment. OK satellite gives us digital already but things like vhs and dvd recorders will have to be changed. Therefore I think that as long as ms continue to support XP many people, me included, will continue to use it. Over the years ms operating systems have always been extremely expensive in the UK and I don't see that changing. Special offers or not the average retailer here is out for maximum profit and many of them may buy from ms cheaper but wont pass on the saving to us poor users.
