Story: Australian expo aims to entice UK techies
The Expo had very little IT focus
Writing as someone who attended the expo, and has discussed it with others on various forums related to Australian migration, I have to say that there was a distinct *lack* of IT focus there. In fact, many others who attended have also commented that it wasn't worth IT staff attending. If you were a civil or mechanical engineer, or a nurse or other health-care worker, there were many people happy to talk to you. For IT, there was almost nothing relevant - the standard response was "register your details on our website".
