ODF is not a standard
A 'standard' is something that is common and that (almost) everyone uses. Do you often receive ODF documents at work? Honestly, I have never, ever got a document in this format (althought I am able to read it on my PC). Most of my business partners have never heard of it. The .doc and .rtf is used every day by all of us.
