Oh Come On!

"Microsoft could rethink plans to phase out its Windows XP operating system by 30 June if customers show they want to keep it, but so far they have not, chief executive Steve Ballmer has said"

Come on Steve, take your head out of the sand and offer your customers the choices they do want and should be entitled to. There is a massive ground swell of comment and opinion concerning the performance of Vista, the difficulties experienced in using Vista and the adequacy of the hardware it can run on, not to mention the significant incompatibilities with hardware (e.g scanners, even expensive ones) and software (both proprietry and custom).

Many organisations (and individuals) are not yet ready for the cost of adopting Vista in terms of software costs, support, training and new hardware infrastructure. After all some organisations are still running even older systems than XP.

Did your mummy never teach you not to tell lies?
