How about impact on child safety?

Making MS (or any other main stream OS) run on OLPC laptops turns the OLPC laptops into a valuable item outside of its intended educational usage. This in turn creates substantial black market value for the device.

Given the nature of criminal elements in many third world countries, children walking around with devices that represent a substantial black market value must be recognized to constitute a real danger to the health and even the life's of these children.

It is sad to see that both OLPC and MS choose to ignore these dangers and choose economic and political issues over the health and lives of the children.
