Debating the net

I certainly read the book with an arched eyebrow, but Siegel has some good points to make. I believe a web culture is developing, and there's no harm in trying to debate how that should happen, or what we're aiming for.

I think one of the most valid arguments against Siegel is that the net simply represents people as they are, but he is right to say that personalities are being - to some extent - shaped by the new media. The question is how, and that's a discussion worth having.
