Are things that bad?

“Microsoft absolutely recommends customers deploy Windows Vista today” Ya, you made a whole lot more desirable by announcing that its successor is only a year away!

“The goal with Windows 7 is that it will run on the same hardware as Windows Vista and that the applications and devices that work with Windows Vista will also be compatible with Windows 7”

Good news for those who’ve been considering upgrading now, just stay put and save yourself the cost of Vista, in just over a year, when Windows 7 comes out, compatible hardware will be cheaper, all your software will be up to date too as developers catch up!
