Story: Microsoft faces legal action over Silverlight

I just wonder...

If Microsoft end up losing this case, how much they'll have to pay in penalties. After all, the olympics isn't quite the same as the third division championship. It's much less serious, but for some reason worth a whole lot more in tangibles.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
