Hotmail wipes 100s of emails from my inbox! Yahoo too!
Firstly, the original article supporting this thread seems to be unavailable, and I am also wondering how many people have been affected by the loss of their Hotmail emails.
Interestingly, I was advising a friend about the purchase of a new printer and it came up in conversation that all her Yahoo email, going back years, had also just vanished last week. Needless to say she is upset about this but had, fortunately, save attachments including pictures.
She sent an email to Yahoo concerning this and did obtain a response within one day. However, the response said that there was no hope of recovery.
I wonder how endemic this problem is and why we are not hearing more about it, online or in the press. It hardly seems likely that this is an isolated occurence affecting only a few individuals.
Not a good omen for the so called 'Cloud'!
