Chrome dome?

Interesting choice of name - I can't help thinking of Steve Ballmer's big shiny round head vibrating with rage over this one.

Microsoft is obviously going to see this as a threat but it will also be interesting to see how Apple responds to this - and whether Chrome as a potential Safari killer will put any more strain on the Apple Google relationship given the competition over Android versus iPhone.

But then again anything that gives Apple a kick up the arse as far as the web goes in no bad thing - the company is still woefully backward when it comes to the web despite developments such as MobileMe.
