Wireless can be worse!
By the time we switched to Powerline our wireless computers were detecting ELEVEN other networks nearby (we are in a building containing a large number of small offices) and nobody was getting a decent connection. Absolutely hopeless when you are running a networked Access database! In the busy city centre environment wireless has basically become a victim of its own success and switching back to cable is really the only solution.
We have found Powerline to be thoroughly reliable - and that's what really matters, we are not streaming video here. Actually, having said that, it IS faster than our old wireless G. In addition, our experience has been that the Powerline adapters really only have a problem with noisy electrical equipment if plugged into the same socket as that equipment.
