Story: Identity minister moots ID cards on driving licences
Public Survey Anyone
According to Jaqubooti and her "Not fit for purpose" predecessors the great British public are broadly in favour of this nightmare. I challenge them to put the following question to them as is:
-----
Where 1 is very much in favour and 5 is very much against, where do you stand on the following.
In order to get a driving license you will have to get yourself to your nearest IPS interview centre where you will be subjected to a "tough interview" designed to work out if you are who you say you are. If you "fail" this interview, you may be subject to fraud charges and will be refused a new license. If successful you will then have your fingerprints taken and your eyes scanned. If you move house and forget to get your address changed on your new driving license, you will be fined up to £1000. If you deliberately destroy or deface the card, another £1000. It is also likely to put the price of your license and each replacement up to £90 or more.

Put me down as a 5
I'd be a 55 if there was a space on the form.
