Story: Freescale and ARM promise £140 netbooks

Cheaper netbooks = good news

This could go two ways - OEM's dont want to sour their relationship with Wintel so avoid this or (2) they jump in and we see a bloody fight for market share in the Netbook market. This would be good news for Consumers - although probably not such great news for OEMs, who are already giving up the margins they would have got on full size laptops.

Also, At this price point and low weight, it looks like Netbooks may become consumables, like mobile phones are today.
