Where is ICL when you need it!
If the UK government had got behind ICL like the US government did IBM, then the situation would not have occured as the non US would have gone for the better UK systems. Don't confuse Fujitsu with the old ICL as they would not have been involved, although I must admit some of the problems came about by ICL reverting to the "old school tie" style of company management.
