Story: Microsoft hit by $388m patent verdict
Software should not be patentable, period.
That will stop the patent lawsuits. Nobody's software can be patented means that everybody can use best practices and share what works without worrying about whether or not you're going to get sued tomorrow or 10 years down the road.
