Talkback As somebody else said, advertisers need to look at their own methods and how intrusive they are becoming, the advertising industry is slowly commiting suicide in the Internet with their current trends of blocking out the site contents.

Online Advertising Versus Security: Where Will The Conflict End?

News Other users are simply blocking advertisements using other methods, often with the assistance of their own Internet service provider. And that's saying nothing of all the ad-busting software and proxies making a dent in advertising revenue.

Yahoo IM Blocks Trillian Access

Talkback How dare they claim they're blocking Trillian because of a potential "spam problem" when they themselves are one of the major sources of spam? You care about Trillian users reducing the profits from your ad-supported message client.

Online Ad-blocking Attacked

Talkback I personally also don't mind ads if they are not flashing, floating over the text I'm reading. If ads on the internet would behave the same as ads in a newspaper then nobody would mind them I think, but the way that they make noice, float over text...

Online Ad-blocking Attacked

Talkback Ads that don't do that, I don't mind. I don't mind Googles ads, for instance - as they aren't offensive or intrusive. " the 25c newspaper would cost $5," - but in a 25c newspaper, the ads do not pop up in front of the columns, flash, move, try to...

Online Ad-blocking Attacked

Talkback ADS.people love to shop and buy things -- and they will -- but I don't see how it is ANY right of an advertiser to tell me how I can filter content that I choose to view. I pay high enough rates for cable tv and high speed internet -- I don't think...
