Firefox Loses Market Share
Talkback Netscape 8 has been released over this period. It is considered to be extremely good, combining the best of Firefox and IE. It would not surprise me if the "lost" Firefox market share were to be found as converts to Netscape 8.

Firefox Loses Market Share
Talkback A couple of people have mentioned sites that only work for IE. Personally, unless I absolutely cannot avoid it, that seems like a good reason not to visit the site. It's completely contradictory to the point of the web, and in time companies will...

Firefox Loses Market Share
Talkback As long as there are people who code their web pages on the premise that only Internet Explorer users will visit them Firefox will have problems. There are still many web sites that will not work with Firefox.

Talkback I dont know what in the world could make me go back to using IE. In all truth I dont know why anyone would want to go back to IE, the only scenarios where I use IE is when a site is specifically built for it.

Marriott Loses Data On 200,000 Customers
Talkback Why would any business with a sense of responsibility for their customer's data be using unencrypted media? You wouldn't send that info to a web browser over an unencrypted HTTP link, so why wouldn't you encrypt sneakernet traffic like backup tapes?

HP Loses Driver, Still Lacks Direction
Talkback I couldn't agree more with that adage. We had a HP engineer who lacked direction, he couldn't even find the building where the printer he was supposed to repair, was located! In the report log he had the cheek to put unable to contact client!

RIM Loses Ground In Patent Dispute
Talkback "Any injunction, however, would not cut off BlackBerry service to government officials — only to individuals and businesses. That's just not right! I say put their (officials) service line on the chopping block too and watch the resolutions roll in.

Talkback Something smells here. Memory problems with Firefox? maybe MS is causing them so people report it, in my machine I expericence zero of it. Download problems? NONE. Firefox really beats IE in many ways, and it works in my 3 systems, MAC, PC, Linux.

Marriott Loses Data On 200,000 Customers
Talkback Because they don't really care that much as long as it's not causing them probems and they keep making money. Basic security is rarly enforced, thus rendering high level encryptions and the like useless anyway.

HP Loses Driver, Still Lacks Direction
Talkback To be honest, HP's biggest mistake was spinning off its test equipment business a number of years ago. If you go back just 15 years, this was a core part of the business in manufacturing test equipment for industry.
