Not inconsistent at all

Talkback My objection to Relax NG DTD Compatibility, is not that it is an OASIS Committee Specifcation rather than an ISO Standard. My objection to apply that specification is that ODF 1.0 does not claim to conform to the part of that standard that was...

Banks face prosecution over Indian call centre leak

Talkback Any objection of lack of data protection laws in India is raised only due to the ignorance of the availability of data protection laws in India. Any objection regarding “insufficient” cyber law or Data protection law is only a misconception and...

Domain name price hikes attacked

News I have no objection to VeriSign's continuing to run the .com registry," said W.G. What I do have is an objection to it being done in a manner that gives a perpetual monopoly to a company with unregulated price increases.

News An additional irritant has been the Bush administration's objection to a .xxx adult domain — an objection that ended with ICANN reversing itself and rejecting the proposal. A long-simmering dispute over whether the US government has too much...

Misconceptions standing in the way of progress

T-Mobile trademarks colour, issues legal threats

Blog Comment I don't see why T-mobile are making this a big deal, the only legal objection they may have is 'passing off', but as Chales pointed out above, engadget are not exactly using the colours association to T-mobile's to sell anything.

Cameroon registry typo-squats .com

Talkback The Cameroon government owns the .cm, I cannot see any objection to this at all. Seems like a typical "America owns the world" type of comment. The widespraed use of .com / .org etc by companies (especially US) with no 'international' presence is...

Government kicks UK when it's down with more ID Card news

Personal Attacks?

Talkback Consequently what else could critics do but raise a lot of objection to the completely flawed process. Not that I have noticed any personal attacks, the whole process has thoroughly rejected constructive technical input from competent sources.

Privacy Issues

Talkback I have been surprised that there has been very little discussion of this, and even less objection to it. I don't use the Google Chrome browser because I strongly object to the amount and type of information that it continuously sends back to Google.
