Fair is Fair - Ubuntu Netbook Remix
Blog Ok, so I realized that if I'm going to be fair about this, in addition to trying Moblin on the nettop, I really should try the Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR). I've mentioned several times that I have tried it, very briefly, on the HP Mini-Note, and the...

Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic Koala) on Netbooks - Part 2 (Netbook Remix)

Ubuntu Netbook Remix - Have You Seen it Lately?
Blog Comment Agree: I loaded the Remix on a Lenovo S10e netbook and it's just too cluttered for me but would work well for someone not accustomed to tinkering. Pity that there still aren't Linux drivers for the Lenovo's Broadcom Wifi subsystem that would allow...

Ubuntu Netbook Remix - Have You Seen it Lately?
Blog Comment So is the netbook remix released at the same time as the distro? > so I'm planning to get the 2140 back from her and upgrading it once the Karmic final release comes out. If so, that would be interesting that ubuntu are placing the emphasis on...

Does Microsoft Remix 2008 make Brighton Rock?

Fiddling with Ubuntu Netbook Remix
Blog I've had a few niggling problems with installing Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) on my Acer Aspire One -- namely, that Maximus is included by default and I've found it tricky to turn off. Maximus is a small app that maximises every new window that you...

Ubuntu Netbook Remix - User Interface Pro/Am Opinions

Ubuntu Netbook Remix - An Acid Test
Blog Comment I couldn't comment on the Eee PC but my camera works on NBR right out of the box. It may be too much to ask of a first generation Eee, but why not install a full mint on a net book with the usuall 1gb of ram and 160gb HD?
