Surface has it's uses
Talkback Bill Gates gave an excellent demonstration of a practical application for a surface table at CES. It was used as the kitchen work surface. With surface being so versatile it doesn't need to have one use.

Talkback I fail to see the practicality of this device. Touch screens have a tendency to become blurred with oil from the fingers after a few hours of use. What if someone drools on it, or spills a cup of coffee?
