Vista SP1 - No Go For Me At The Moment

Blog Comment Also, I may well now put good old XP on my Asus alongside Ubuntu. Check out my post on my travails with Vista to see why. David, I was thinking of a neat utility called MySQL Workbench which I find handy for designing and normalising databases.

Good Reason Not To Use Vista

Talkback I tend to use Ubuntu a lot for development and like having a dual boot config on my machine. I used Vista for about 5 days before it drove me to distraction and I installed XP. This is just another good reason to ditch this load of rubbish.

XP SP3 Problems

Talkback I have installed Ubuntu on my XP SP3 computer using Wubi (installs in the Windows partion without needing to partition the disk) and it runs very nicely. How quick and easy it is to install Linux compared to XP or Vista, and how quick it is to boot...
