Skype Roundup

Blog Comment Letting me see my daughter on webcam 1000 miles away - its worth it. I don't know if JA uses Skype, but if he does, I'd wish that he write a few lines on why, how and what he thinks works well. I'm a pretty active Skype user and read many articles...

More Pleasant Surprises With Ubuntu

Blog I plugged in my Philips SPC1300NC webcam, and although it is recognized and identified correctly, it doesn't seem to work. It will be interesting to see how it handles the Core2 Duo CPU, the Intel Wireless-N networking, and the built-in Logitech...

Skype Roundup: Skype Dumps On Taiwan Customers

Blog Of course, what is missing from the "interview" are any hard questions about whether there is a back door for monitoring Skype calls, why Skype "Customer Support" is non-existent, why Skype continually takes users money in advance, and then...

Moving On - SightSpeed

Blog There are various ways to change or disable it, though, and I suppose it is a good indication that your webcam is working (or not). In response to my first blog post, and probably to my comment on the article about the Skype "High Quality Video", I...

Tech Talk - Skype

Blog The only solution would be to either replace a nice new (expensive) high-quality webcam with something other than the "chosen ones", or to make audio-only calls. I think it's pretty obvious that the most talked-about and interesting technical topic...
