Windows 7 on the Apricot netbook

Blog Comment P4's were supposed to be able to run Vista. However even Vista Business ran slow on a P4 when compared to XP Pro. Maybe Microsoft learned an expensive lesson? Loading up the OS with high maintenance "features/bugs" doesn't pay.

Windows 7 can boot more slowly than Vista

Talkback I have friends with Vista laptops that are still slow and flaky running with all the latest service packs, and compare very unfavourably to my Netbook running Win7. My Netbook boots to a usable state in about 1 minute 20 seconds.
