Have you got thoughts to share on mobile working? Are you enthusiastic about putting them out there in a blog for your peers to read? Then take part in our competition to become the ZDNet Blogger at Large, and you could win a trip to San Francisco for the Intel Developer Forum in September, courtesy of Intel.

UPDATE: We've added a prize — the Blogger at Large will also be awarded a Lenovo ThinkPad T61 notebook with Centrino Pro, courtesy of Intel. It will help them to wirelessly post entries from the event.

To enter, all you have to do is start posting entries to On the Road, our latest group blog. It's a place where you can exchange experiences and insights on mobile working, from deciding which laptop suits your needs to dealing with network access security. As well as providing a pool of knowledge that benefits everyone, the blog could raise your profile among your peers and on search engines.

Over the next few months, the judges will be keeping an eye on posts to On the Road. The member who, in the opinion of the judges, has made the most valuable contribution will be named ZDNet Blogger at Large and be flown to the US to blog from the Intel event.

The ThinkPad T61 is powered by a Core 2 Duo CPU, an extra onboard Turbo Memory and Draft 802.11n Wi-Fi. It comes loaded with Intel's Active Management Technology, which lets the IT department manage the system from afar, even when it's in asleep or powered down. It features a 14.1-in wide-screen TFT display and the chassis, which measures 33.5 cm by 23.7 cm by 2.76 cm, has been reinforced with an internal roll cage. The road-ready design includes sturdy steel hinges and a shock-mounted hard drive. It's light at 2.3 kg, and its small AC adapter only weighs about 225g.
